KFC Set to Open Fast Casual Restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky

Fast casual eateries like Chipotle and Five Guys have taken the chain restaurant world by storm in the past few years. The food they serve is fast, sure, but they operate at a higher level of quality than Taco Bell and McDonald's old school chains. Now KFC wants to get in on the act. They are prepping their own fast casual chain, which is set to open soon in Louisville, Kentucky.

It's called KFC eleven, which stands for the 11 herbs and spices that make up the colonel's beard or secret chicken recipe or something. This new, classier KFC is poised to "transform how people think about the brand." As such, the menu is nearly identical to pre-existing KFC restaurants. They do have flatbread sandwiches, though. That's kind of cool.

KFC eleven will open later in the summer. In the meantime, you can buy a few pieces of original recipe and throw it on some flatbread in your kitchen.
