George Martin's Wild Rice with Dried Berries and Maple Syrup

Ingredients

2 cups (12 ounces) wild rice

2 cups maple syrup 

1 cup dried blueberries 

1 cup dried cranberries 

1 cup raisins 

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 

Directions

  1. Place the wild rice in a medium pot along with 8 cups water. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until the rice is tender. Drain, then return the rice to the pot. While the rice is still warm, add the maple syrup, blueberries, cranberries, raisins and cinnamon and stir to combine. Serve warm or at room temperature.
