Manchego with Honey Brown Butter Sauce

Ingredients

1 stick butter

3 tablespoons honey

1/2 pound Manchego cheese wedge

Sea salt

Directions

  1. Melt butter in small saute pan, and cook until it turns a golden brown. Drizzle in honey and stir to incorporate. Pour over cheese wedge and sprinkle with sea salt.

I have now served this three times and every time there are raves.  It is so simple it's hard to believe it can be so good, but believe me IT IS.  In that honey never spoils and you can keep wedges of manchego in the freezer, this an an appetizer which can be "at the ready."  You won't be disappointed.
