Ingredients

12 turkey wings

2 lemons, sliced into 1/4-inch-thick rounds

3 tablespoons hot sauce, plus more for serving

Salt and ground black pepper

Salt and ground black pepper

Paprika, for sprinkling

Seasoned salt, for sprinkling

2 white onions, sliced into 1/4-inch-thick rounds

2 green bell peppers, seeded and sliced into 1/4-inch-thick rounds

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Wash and clean the turkey wings by rinsing them under cold running water and then rubbing them with the lemon slices. Pat the wings dry and divide them between two roasting pans. With gloved hands, rub the hot sauce into the wings. Generously sprinkle the wings with salt, pepper, paprika and seasoned salt. Evenly distribute the onions and peppers between the roasting pans. Fill each pan with 4 cups water and cover tightly with foil.
  3. Transfer the roasting pans to the oven and cook for 3 hours; uncover and cook for 1 hour more, or until the wings are well browned and tender. Serve with hot sauce.

These wings were really good. I made them for the New Year dinner and everyone loved them. Will be trying them again.
