Check out all our favorite eats from the 2011 Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival.
Braised Pork with Rice, Beans and Sweet Plantains
A traditional Cuban treat - fall-apart tender pork, sofrito-spiced rice and beans and best of all, a delicious piece of fried sweet plantain.
The "Wit or Witout" Cheeseteak
Already crowned the Queen of Cheesesteaks in Philly, Nicole DiZio of Wit or Witout took home first place in Guy Fieri's Cheesteak Battle for her no-frills hoagie. Good bread, good meat, gooey cheese, and you've got one killer philly cheesesteak.
Robert Irvine's Citrus Sorbet Topped Conch Ceviche
Don't be fooled by Robert's innovative pairing - the ceviche and ice-cold sorbet met in perfect harmony, and the tangy citrus help liven up each and every spoonful.
Pressed Cuban Sandwiches
Buttered white bread, freshly sliced ham and pork, melted swiss and yellow mustard - simple, and yet so satisfying.
Ben Sargent's Angry Fish in Spicy Curry Soup
Ben served hunks of gorgeous, deep-fried snapper in a sweet and just-spicy-enough curry-based broth.
Bradley Boys Classic Cheesesteak
Michelle Burns of Bradley Boys in Stone Harbor, N.J. took second place for her classic cheesesteak, a perfect blend of American cheese, fresh beef and grilled onions.
Beer!
Blue Moon Brewery did its best to help thirsty patrons get their fix with (seemingly) endless taps of their original and summer ales.
Robert Irvine's Spicy Seared Tuna
Robert's station also served up a mouthwatering combination of spicy crusted chunks of seared tuna and black beans.
Winners of last year's Cheesesteak Battle, Tony Boloney's, brought back their gooey American cheese-filled spicy sando. It was messy, but tasty too.
Roger Mooking's Shrimp and Pork Taco
Roger handed out soft corn tortilla tacos stuffed with generous chunks of shrimp and pork, and topped with a healthy dollop of homemade guacamole.
Egg Roll Sriracha Cheesesteak
Chef Tim Hamill of the Continental in Atlantic City took third place in Guy Fieri's Cheesesteak Battle, adding an Asian flare with his cheesesteak eggroll with Sriracha ketchup.
Jelly Beans
A table decorated with just, jelly beans? That's right. For those in need of something on the sweeter side, colorful arrangements of candy were much abound.
Burger Shop PYT's Pretzel Cheesesteak Burger
Margot Eisbart of burger shop PYT in Philly served up mini burgers topped with cheesesteak (“wit wiz”) on a pretzel roll from the famous Philly Pretzel Factory.
