Pumpkin Spice Margarita

Ingredients

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice, plus more to coat the glass rim

2 ounces tequila

1 ounce orange liqueur, such as Cointreau

2 teaspoons pumpkin puree

Directions

  1. On a small plate, whisk together the sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Coat the rim of a margarita glass with orange juice and dip it in the sugar mixture to coat. Set aside. 
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the remaining ounce of orange juice, tequila, orange liquor and pumpkin puree. Cover and shake vigorously. Strain into the prepared margarita glass.
