I’ve had biscuits from the Denver Biscuit Co. They’re great. This recipe has most of the ingredients right, but many are wildly out of proportion. Not nearly enough flour, way too much butter and too much liquid. I fixed it for you. Following the same instructions use these ingredients. 2 cps AP flour, 1 cp cake flour, 2 Tbsps sugar, 1 Tbsp salt, 1 1/2 Tbsps baking powder, 2 tsps cream of tartar, 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, 6 Tbsps buttermilk powder, 1 cp water, 1cp plain yogurt, 3 eggs. While mixing add up to approx. 1 1/4 cps more AP flour. Dough is right when it no longer sticks to the bowl and barely sticks to the hook. Also needed is plenty of extra flour for the rolling surface, roller, hands and other tools. Enjoy!
