Aloha! Eden has just 24 hours to eat around the world -- and this time she's in the tropical city of Honolulu. She starts off her tour with a baker from Budapest and learns the art of traditional Hungarian Chimney Cakes. Then it's lunchtime in Honolulu's famous Chinatown where she helps the staff make their popular Look Fun Noodles, and for dinner Eden learns to cook up a traditional Myanmar or Burmese meal. After the sun sets Eden finds her way into a family-owned Japanese fish market, resulting in a beautiful sashimi dish, and later learns to make a Hawaiian breakfast favorite -- warm Portuguese Malasadas. She wraps up her trip with a mother and son who make traditional crispy Croatian sausage, before finally rewarding herself with a dip into the blue sea. Mahalo Hawaii!
Eden heads around the world in the diverse desert city of Phoenix, where she kicks off her trip in an Indian market. She learns how to make chats, a refreshing Indian snack food, and visits a large Indian street festival. Next she makes pierogi with a Polish baker, kebabs with a Lebanese butchering family and helps Bosnian bakers make breakfast all before the sun rises. Lastly, Eden uncovers a touching story of survival while taking in an authentic Cambodian meal, and winds down her trip at a Native American reservation making chili and being invited to join a Native American traditional dance. She arrives back in the same spot 24 hours later, her body tired, but her belly full!
Tampa is a city full of different cultures and cuisines, and Eden is ready to experience them all! She begins her visit here at a roti shop where she learns about traditional Trinidadian food. Next, she makes feijoada with a Brazilian family, apple strudel with a German baker and helps prepare dinner at a Greek restaurant. After sunset Eden heads to Ybor City to check out the nightlife, where she picks up some fried pork and tries her hand at Cuban cigar rolling. She wraps up her tour with some late-night Colombian food. After 24 hours in Tampa, Eden's feet are sore, but her stomach is satisfied!
Eden is ready to eat her way around the world in the beautiful Salt Lake City! She starts her food tour in true British style with authentic fish and chips. Next, she samples authentic Mexican beans and heads to a restaurant that specializes in cuisine from both Kenya and Pakistan. For dinner, Eden explores authentic Tibetan dishes, followed by a late night stop at an Argentinean bakery. She ends her trip with a spice kick, courtesy of a hot sauce recipe from the Congo. It's been an amazing 24 hours in Salt Lake City; Eden is full and ready for sleep!
Eden is ready to see who she can meet and what she can eat as she travels the globe via food in Nashville! She kicks off her tour by stopping for a traditional Thai salad and some exercise, followed by a stop at a Somalian restaurant. She continues her tour with some Bosnian cuisine and history while making a traditional stuffed onion dish for dinner. She stops in for a late-night drink, a snack and some dancing at an Irish pub, followed by an early morning baking session at a Kurdish Halal market. To finish her eating marathon, Eden visits a Ghanaian market for a traditional African experience. Who knew "Music City" was so multicultural!
Eden is in beautiful San Diego and she is ready to eat her way around the world! Her first stop is a Laotian cafe but on the way she stops at a Laotian New Year's Celebration for some food and dancing. For dinner, Eden heads to a Norwegian Supper Club, then grabs a Turkish coffee and pastry to keep herself fueled through the night. Next up, is a late-night snack at a Filipino cafe followed by an early morning visit to a Mexican sweetshop. Just as her 24 hours is almost up, she stops at a South African Deli to make some traditional bunny chow. What a way to end her San Diego adventure!
Charlotte, N.C., is one of the nation's fastest growing cities, which means Eden has a lot of ground to cover as she eats her way around the world in 24 hours! She kicks off her trip by making pickle sandwiches and bubble tea at a Taiwanese market run by a mother and daughter team, followed by dinner at a Jamaican restaurant. Then she's off to a Serbian bakery to make traditional paisano bread in the wee hours of the morning. Eden follows that up with learning to make Venezuelan arepas and then a spicy traditional Korean breakfast. Final stop: Bombay sandwiches from India and a little Bollywood dancing. Another global food tour successfully completed? Check!
